We are very excited to announce the launch of the international 'Eco-Schools' environmental programme into the PYP School this year.
‘Eco-Schools’ aims to raise students' awareness of sustainable development issues through classroom study as well as school and community action.
It will form an integral part of our school, as it encompasses the core values of the PYP curriculum that is ‘preparing students to be active participants in a lifelong journey of learning’.
Children will be encouraged to take a very active role in how our school can be run for the benefit of the environment as well as developing sustainable links to the community.

The first step of Eco-Schools is to inform the school community and create an eco-committee.
In October we will be selecting our student committee members and have invited interested students to apply and aim to hold our first student / staff Eco-Schools meeting later in the month.
The next step is to invite committee members from the greater school community, and we would very much like and need to have parents form a part of our eco-committee.
Once our committee is complete we will follow the seven steps below in order to successfully complete the first year of Eco-Schools and apply for the Green Flag.
