I have been a teacher for 18 years. In that time I have taught many subjects to many people in many schools around the world. I consider it an honour to have done so. I take pride in the fact that I have helped many thousands of children, teenagers and adults reach their goals, whether they have been learning how to calculate mathematically, speak coherently, analyse scientifically or play jovially.
This is my fifth year teaching at RAK Academy. During this time I have enjoyed living and working here with my family. I have found it to be a wonderful place where the warmth emanates from all of the community, and where life is noticeably and deservedly relaxed. It is a pleasure for me to be teaching physical education in the PYP campus at RAK Academy. I take health and fitness seriously, and see a real need for today’s children to be more active than ever. My goal whilst here is to ensure that the RAKA community have every opportunity to learn sporting skills, improve their fitness and wellbeing, and most importantly to have plenty of fun whilst doing it! andres ramirezI am Andres Ramirez, from Spain, I am a caring and passionate professional teacher who loves to teach students the value of being physically fit and how to reach their goals. I do not only teach Physical Education, I also live it. I just want to think that I practice what I preach. As a PE teacher I love all different sports, especially football.

I’ve been a competitive swimmer and I’ve shared my passion with many people. Through years of experience I’ve helped people of all ages and abilities to develop swimming skills and techniques, and to be confident in the water. Swimming is a fundamental life skill and I’m happy to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion teaching the skills to amazing students here at Rak Academy. robert noahI enjoy what I do and always look forward to extending and sharing my passion for sports with the children. Working as a Teacher Assistant in the PE department at RAK Academy for five years has given the opportunity to encourage students to appreciate the value of physical fitness. I believe that when students are provided with relevant knowledge and skills in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, they make informed choices about their own lives and lead a healthy life in adulthood. Healthy children make a healthy nation.

My name is Mrs. Simpson and I have been a PE teacher here at RAK Academy since 2011. During this time I have thoroughly loved teaching sports to the many hundreds of children here at our school. It has been a pleasure to teach such kind and lovely children that live here in Ras Al Khaimah.
When I was younger I was a competitive swimmer. I am now trying to pass on my knowledge and skills to the next generation so that they too can achieve in swimming, which is also a vital life skill. I wholeheartedly agree that children need to be as active as possible. It is one of my personal goals to ensure that children not only get active, but make healthy choices in their lives. This is something I believe strongly in as a teacher here at the great RAK Academy. cotie howardMy name is Miss Cotie and I’m a PE teacher here at RAK Academy. I love sharing my passion for health and fitness and feel very lucky that I get to do that for my job everyday with amazing students! I believe sports and team-building activities create a very important sense of leadership and camaraderie that last a lifetime. It’s our responsibility to take care of our bodies, and in doing so, we foster an environment to better ourselves holistically while creating lasting relationships. By sharing my knowledge and passion with students, I hope to help them make positive choices in creating their own healthy lifestyles of which they are proud. Perhaps they will then share their knowledge with others? I have played organized sports since I was five years old and can’t imagine a more fulfilling and purposeful job suited to me!
