DONNA KENNEDYI am from Scotland in the United Kingdom and I have been at RAK Academy since 2011. I initially taught KG1 and for the last 2 years I have been working as a Year 6 Class Teacher.
Previous to moving to the UAE, I studied Primary Education at Glasgow University and worked with a year 5 class for 1 year in Scotland after graduating. I believe that education is child-led and driven by their desire to understand more. I am highly motivated and extremely committed to a future in education to make a positive impact on the whole school community. |

VALENE IZONI was born in Birmingham; a busy city in the centre of England.
Prior to University, I studied Education and English Literature at college. I then went on to study Primary Education with Art Specialism at Newman University (which is also in Birmingham). Most of the English schools I have taught in were large inner-city schools, with children from various backgrounds. I first moved to Ras Al Khaimah in 2013 and I taught at Choueifat School (Grades 1 and 2). After one year there, I started here at RAK Academy in 2014. I want my students to leave Year 6 with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing society. Also, to be independent and creative thinkers who believe that anything is achievable. PAM FARMBOROUGHI studied at Durham University, UK, where I met my husband Mark Farmborough (PYP- EAL) and completed my Teacher Training at York, UK. I have taught at several schools including: Durham School and Westfield School for Girls, UK. The Grange School, Santiago, Chile, South America and King's College, Madrid Spain. I have now been at Rak Academy for 5 years as a Year 5 teacher and now a Year 6 teacher in PYP.
