Tuning in: We went to the Old Corniche- Beach on a trip. Problem:The beach was littered with rubbish. Solution:The children decided to pick up all the litter so that they could enjoy the beach and have fun. We sorted the Rubbish on the beach for RECYCLING purposes. To collect data, we used a TALLY CHART to record the amounts of PLASTIC, PAPER, METAL and FABRIC found on the beach. We did a FANTASTIC JOB! Time for fun....! In 1A we have been discussing what is important in our community of Ras Al Khaimah. In groups, the children created their own community maps, explaining why certain places were included and how these places accommodate the needs of the people. Here are some more photographs of the different activities we did during Literacy Week! We had fun reading in our pyjamas and dressing up as our favourite book characters!
