What does your child need for school?

Healthy eating
It is important that your child brings a healthy packed lunch to school. Below are some recommendations of what is considered a healthy packed lunch. The focus is on a balanced diet.
A child is recommended to have 5 pieces of fruit or vegetables a day. Juice can be classed as one of them but please look at the label as some juices look healthy but are full of sugar. If it says NECTAR on the front then it has lots of sugar in. Try to get juices that are free from sugar and additives. It is proven that too much sugar is not only bad for teeth but also concentration. Milk is a very good drink for growing children to have each day and water helps with concentration. Children must not bring fizzy drinks to school |
